Pirate Ship on Solent
A great 2 days with a returning family. Covered a lot of ground – Lymington to Beaulieu to Cowes to Newtown. Cut it fine coming out of Bealieu but had 0.5m under the keel. Phew! Interesting that along side us in Lymington were two other families who I have sailed with in last 2 years. Really nice to see them out on the water. One family now able to go out on their own – fantastic. Unfortunatly I couldn’t be on 2 boats at the same time so had to let one family sail with another skipper! Still great to see them again.
Folllowing the family sail it was back to Cowes for a stag sailing day. More sunshine and enough wind so another great day saiing on the Solent. We had a better margin for getting over the bar at Beaulieu – just as well as I had a 2.4m keel this time.
The youngest daughter was doing a project on pirates at school so wasn’t it great to see the Bounty in Cowes!
