After 5 years away from sailing we had no hesitation in coming back to Kirsten and we would have no hesitation in recommending her. The feedback from all the family was really positive and we have already booked to go again! Much of the success of the weekend was down to Kirsten’s relaxed and friendly approach with all the family. She helped Laura and myself get back into sailing after a five year break but also helped Miriam, Matthew and Isaac who are newer to sailing gain confidence.’

Kirsten is just a wonderful skipper. I have taken family, friends, staff and customers out on the water with Kirsten and they invariably comment on her great insight, instruction and patience but mainly the fact that she’s just a great person to be out on the water with. I enjoyed sailing with Kirsten so much that I went on to spend 5 days on a boat gaining my Day Skipper qualification with her! I’m qualified now but still finding myself emailing Kirsten for availability to join us on my trips!

Thank you for a fantastic couple of days, we all had a great time and the girls are both enthused and wanting to get more involved in sailing, which is great news. Simon and I really appreciated your guidance and expertise, it was great to put into practice some of what we learned in the classroom. Your patience and enthusiasm were first class. Just a quick note to say that everything went very well on Monday, onboard Solent Star, with Kirsten – thank you. A great day was had by all, with Kirsten being everything you had described and more – what a star she is!
I now have a nephew desperately keen to come back to the UK (he’s French) to learn how to sail and become a skipper himself. My friend’s neices and their father also had a wonderful time, and are all now keen to take a family flotilla holiday to get their mum involved also.
Thank you for being so flexible and helpful, and for the upgrade. Solent Star was very comfortable and made a very good impression on everyone. I can’t wait to sail with your company again, and will be staying in touch with the lovely Kirsten.

Hen & Stag Do

I just wanted to say a big thanks to you, James and Paul for giving us a great weekend on the water, if im honest I was a bit worried leading up to the weekend that it was going to be a bit messy, in many ways! As a group with no real experience of sailing give or take one or two, I was unsure how it would go. The three of you made sure that we were all put at ease very quickly and those who were interested in getting stuck in were able to do so quickly and those who were just interested in keeping their breakfast down were allowed to sit and contemplate why they had thought this would be a good idea!! Saturday was a glorious day for sailing and it was great fun getting the sails up and seeing what the boats could do whilst putting in a shift on the winches or having a go at the helm, Sunday obviously was a completely different type of sailing and strangely almost more enjoyable (maybe not for a few!) a strong wind to drive us along and waves crashing over the bow really made it hard work and we were all pretty done in by the time we got back to Hamble. We are all just waiting for the world to stop rocking so we can walk in straight lines again!
Thanks again and I will recommend you to anyone looking for and excellent sailing experience with plenty of fun thrown in.

Just a quick note to thank you both for such an amazing weekend! We ALL thoroughly enjoyed every minute! Even the scary bits – we all knew we were in the safest of hands! I had no idea what to expect – but, I think that might be because Tom left it as a surprise… And, wow – what a surprise!!!! I cannot tell you how much we all enjoyed every minute!! I think it was a great mix!! Lighter on the first day then crazy on the second!! I’m definitely hoping we make it a regular occurrence, it’s SOOOOO much fun!!!

Oh we had so much fun! Thank you a million times for making it an unforgettable weekend and hen do. I’ve never been swimming in anything that cold in all my life, and agree was a good effort! I! All of them want to do it again so don’t go anywhere!!! If you can possibly stand to have us back then we are thinking of setting up an annual sailing trip. So thanks so much, again. Like I said on Sunday,- it couldn’t have been any better.

Your professionalism, skill, Friendliness and enthusiasm really was the icing on the cake to a fabulous weekend. It seems easy to forget there is a world out there to explore when stuck behind a desk for 40hrs a week (though I do wish my desk would stop rocking).

Many thanks for your help and support in pulling together another great day. Conditions were amazing and the feedback from guests was best we have ever had! Please pass on our thanks to the other skippers, I can even live with the tail end position at the end given that we all got to sail in F7 conditions and lived to brag about it! We all had a great day last Wednesday and our guests certainly enjoyed themselves. It was well organised and very relaxing. Look forward to doing it again.

My desk is still moving around like a Bavaria 38 in a Force 9, a reminder of a splendid, rocking’ time aboard Gemini. Thank you for being such a good-humoured and enthusiastic skipper. I learnt so much and appreciated how much fun you can have, even with the elements against you.
