This has been an exceptionally busy sailing season with regattas, family and friends sailing, teaching, stags and corporate sailing. The weather plays its part but it has not stopped the sailing (until this week!).

What a contrast with the weather – light winds & lots of sunshine. Perfect time to be on the water. Taught a competent crew course last week which included a trip to Weymouth. Then skills & drills in Solent. Followed by a fun stag weekend. At least the stag has a month to recover before…

Another great Stag sailing weekend on the Solent. Saturday was windy and sunny and some good sailing. It was nice enough to swim in Osborne Bay – and the guys did just that. Note the Stag in his ‘attire’ already. His friends had more dresses for him to wear later! Sunday was a different story….
All in one week on the Solent. Classic Power Boat Race to Torquay – niosy but exciting! Previously we saw a Russian tall ship arriving on Trinity House Pontoon in Cowes – quite odd to see fenders and engine but essential of course! Before that the Cowes Brass band marching and before that the cricketers…
No wind so a long lunch in Osborne Bay. Great sport to watch. This was really impressive – very well set up with lots of control lines and some very good dives ….and some interesting ones. These guys had skills! No wind so swimming and ‘chilling’ out was in order. Ice cream boat came around…
